In a behind the scenes online exclusive video shared on YouTube, Trevor Noah told the audience during one of the show’s “Between the Scenes” segments that he is grateful to everyone who has supported The Daily Show.

“I’m eternally grateful to every single person who watches the show, who comes to the show. I never ever not count my blessings, being here…doing this thing. It’s wild.” – He said.

Noah also reflected on a time when he wondered whether he would be on the show the next day, poking fun at American TV being so unpredictable. “I remember a time when it was just like, are we going to be here tomorrow?” Trevor Noah told the audience.

“I’m serious, I don’t take any of this for granted. On American TV, you’re there and then you’re not.” – he added.

Trevor, who won Best Short Form Variety Series in 2017 for “Between the Scenes”, is already an Emmy Award winner. Noah took over from Jon Stewart in 2015. Noah lost to “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” in 2018.

‘What? My man, I’m at the Emmys! I lost to John Oliver. Have you watched John Oliver’s show? I love John Oliver,’” Noah said after someone told him that he must be bummed that he lost to Oliver.

Trevor also shared an Instagram post about his dog Buddy also being excited about the Emmy nominations. “Buddy was just as excited to hear that @thedailyshow was nominated for another 2 Emmys! Congrats to the amazing Daily Show team! Honoured is an understatement!  (sic),” – he captioned his Instagram snap.
