What is My Tuks Login?
My Tuks Login is the University of Pretoria’s student portal page which gives students access to the UP systems where students can carry out academic activities. My Tuks Login is the same as UP Portal Login.
Tuks is just another name for the University of Pretoria. Tukkies or Tuks, was derived from the Afrikaans acronym for the college, i.e. Transvaalse Universiteitskollege (TUK).

Once you’ve logged to my Tuks student portal, you will be able to perform academic activities such as checking course registration, exam results, up online application status, fees payment, timetable, academic calender, and more at My Tuks Login – upnet.up.ac.za
Here’s how to access my Tuks Login page:
- Step 1: Visit My Tuks Login at https://upnet.up.ac.za/
- Step 2: Enter your UP username and password
- Step 3: Then click “Submit”
- Step 4: You will successfully see my tuks login dashboard
Please note that Tuks username starts with a ‘u’ or ‘p’, followed by your student number on your student card (for example, u12345678). For your password, the first time you log in, you will use your ID number / Passport number as a password, after you set your UP Portal password, you will use that.
If you are logging in for the first time, click on the New users link. The system will guide you through the steps for creating security questions and to set up your password. Read the steps and information (on passwords and browsers) carefully. After you created your own password through the “new user” link, you will use your own password for future logins. If you forgot your password, use the ‘Lost (forgotten) password’ link to create a new one.
