Veteran actress Lillian Dube is now Dr Dube

Veteran actress Lillian Dube received an honorary degree from The Tshwane University of Technology for Drama and Film production. Dr Dube is being honoured for her success and contribution to the entertainment industry in the past three decades.

According to The Sowetan, the university explained “The honorary degree is based on your [Lillian’s] contribution to the broad field of the Arts in particular and social causes in general.”

Commenting on her latest achievement, the ecstatic actress said she has always been “diligent” in all her work and she expressed her gratitude to her late mother for the advice which contributed to her successful career in the industry.

“She said to me while growing up that whatever work you do, do it diligently. She said even if you sweep the floors, make people want to know who did the great work. I have taken that lesson with me all my life. Whatever I do, I do wholeheartedly and these are the fruits.”

Liteboho Molise, who plays Teboho on Muvhango, took to Instagram to congratulate the veteran actress.
