Watch: Major League DJz’s Family music video, featuring Kwesta and Kid X

South African twin DJ’s, businessmen, music artists, Major League Djz, have released their music video for the single Family. The Mbere twins are arguably the most popular twins in the music entertainment industry in South Africa.

Twin brothers, Bandile and Banele Mbere are known for their jazz and hip-hop influenced-influenced music which has created a fan base for them, both locally and internationally.

One brother is a deejay and the other is a percussionist. They focus on dance and urban music

Major League started in the music industry as official DJs for Motswako rapper Khuli Chana and Soul Candi event organisers, and solidified a wider national footprint when they started to host their annual outdoor social arts festival named Major League Gardens.

The twins hosted parties for the likes of 50 Cent, Akon and Fat Joe, and have gone on to play alongside both local and international DJ’s such as DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Roger Goode, DJ Trauma, DJ Drama and DJ Woo Kid.

The single, Family, which also features rappers Kwesta and Kid X, shows a blend of kwaito and hip-hop, presenting itself as the perfect dance track.

The music video shows the group of friends seated at a retro-style restaurant, being served by a beautiful waitress. The scenes alternate between present day and flashbacks to the artists’ upbringing.
