A video footage of musician and Babes Wodumo’s ex-boyfriend Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo has been making rounds on social media. In the video, you can see Mampintsha being confronted and pushed around by people at Cubana Lounge in Pietermaritzburg.

It seemed like patrons were trying to block him from entering the venue. Speaking to TshisaLIVE, a staff member told the publication that the musician was not kicked out, but there was a commotion at the venue on Saturday night.
“Mampintsha was not booked to perform here but he did arrive in his personal capacity. When he arrived some people started whistling, chanting and pushing him around but there was no violence. He (Mampintsha) was not kicked out of the venue and went to a separate lounge where he had a few drinks and then left.” – A staff member who did not want to be named told TshisaLIVE.
The incident comes hours after Mampintsha issued a public apology on Instagram.

Earlier this month, Mampintsha sparked outrage across the country after a video of him beating his estranged girlfriend Babes Wodumo went viral. Mandla was then arrested and released on R2000 bail and the case was postponed to the 15 of May.
