Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom once again delivers a month packed with a vibrant variety of shows — from a Mother’s Day comedy celebration featuring Natashia Portrag, also known as Bash with Tash, to a comedic performance by Carvin H Goldstone, a benefit concert for Baby Ahana, and the third edition of Bollywood Idols.

Mamma Mia! Mother’s Day Show – Saturday, 10 May 2025

International comedian Natashia Portrag, also known as Bash with Tash, celebrates Mother’s Day in style this year at the Sibaya Casino’s IZulu Theatre. Her show promises to be a fun and a beautiful evening of jokes, so bring the whole family to enjoy it and celebrate motherhood.

Natashia Portrag gained popularity through her viral social media series “Have a Bash with Tash”. She uses everyday life as inspiration to craft her funny characters, and one of her most beloved is Tash, known as the “Langara Queen”. With her impressive ability to switch accents rapidly, Portrag effortlessly brings each character to life.

Hope For Ahana – Saturday, 17 May 2025

Baby Ahana was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, at just 19 months old. Her short life so far has included three cycles of chemo-immunotherapy. While she is doing well, her battle is far from over — she still needs to travel to the United States for life-saving treatment, with R4 million standing between her and the chance of survival she deserves.

At the iZulu Theatre on Saturday, 17 May 2025, a cast of performers will entertain audiences in a fundraiser for Baby Ahana. On the lineup are singer Shashika Mooruth, all the way from India; Eastern entertainment specialist and singer Preetesh Singh; the legendary Saraswathi Shainaaz Band with singers Shasha, Rameez, Shabnum, Zubair and Rajan; and a dance performance by Vande Mataram Productions. The event will be emceed by radio personality Zakia Ahmed Siddiqui.

Carvin H. Goldstone, My New Debit Order – Friday, 30 May 2025

Carvin H Goldstone is returning by popular demand to the iZulu Theatre stage at Sibaya Casino for a final run of his hilarious family show, “My New Debit Order”. It’s a great outing for families, couples who have children, or couples planning to have children.

The show humorously explores the experience of Goldstone welcoming a new baby in his 40s, the challenges of in vitro fertilisation (IVF), and the arrival of the infant, which he playfully refers to as his “new debit order.” He also discusses topics such as childbirth, raising a teenager, the impact of new presidents in South Africa and the United States, and the cost of living in 2025.

The show has received rave reviews around the country and travelled to New Zealand in April. The show will move on to Dubai and London in June but Goldstone wants to give Durban audiences one last chance to see it before he jets off.

KZN Bollywood Idol Season 3 – Saturday, 31 May 2025

KZN Bollywood Idol was founded in 2023 by Risa Raeanne Moodley, professionally known as Risa Raeanne. The show aims to bring together the local community and to allow people the chance to have their moment on stage showcasing their singing talent. This production is a singing competition to which contestants audition online, and the top 15 compete in the finals to be held at Sibaya Casino’s Izulu Theatre.

A live band, GM Vikings, will back the contestants, as well as Raeanne and her co-singers.  Naren Maharajh and Geanie in a Bottle will return to MC the show with their zealous and bubbly personalities.

The winner will win cash and be presented with a voucher to have their own music produced by some of the best local producers. Each finalist will perform a Bollywood song of their choice and thereafter, the top five will be chosen and perform a second Bollywood song to determine the ultimate idol.
