SASSA Status Check for R350 Payment Dates
When is SASSA R350 payment dates? Expect the first payments to be made in the first week of June 2023.
The President declared a National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this regard he introduced a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month for 6 months to be paid to individuals who are currently unemployed, do not receive any form of income, social grant or UIF payment etc. SASSA status check for R350 is also available.
If you’ve applied for the R350 grant, you will be able to check your SASSA status. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has made it easier for applicants to track their status online. SASSA status check, is a process of checking your R350 grant application status.

How to check SASSA status
To check SASSA status for your R350 grant application, visit https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status.
- Visit the SASSA Grant Website
- Scroll down to ‘Application status‘
- Click on ‘Click here to check online‘
- Enter your South African ID
- Enter your Cellphone Number
- Then click “Submit“
- You will be able to view your SASSA status
This way applicants will be able to know if their SASSA application is accepted, pending or rejected.

SASSA has also shared on social media that there is no set payment date for the special COVID-19 SRD grant. If your application has been approved, you will certainly receive payment for that month.

- Children’s Grant – Tuesday, 6 June 2023
