Who is behind Mark Angel Comedy? The man behind Mark Angel Comedy YouTube Channel is Mark Angel (born 27 May 1991). He is a Nigerian comedian, filmmaker, video producer and YouTuber.
He is best known for the Mark Angel Comedy series of shorts. In the videos, he often features child comedians such as his niece, Emmanuella Samuel, her sister, “Aunty” Success Madubuike and Denilson among others to produce a comedy skit.
Emmanuella is the longest-appearing actress for Mark Angel Comedy. She has won comedy awards in Nigeria as well as Australia for her work with Mark. She is the youngest YouTube award winner in Africa.
Before joining Mark Angel, Emmanuella was doing film work in school as part of a class video project. Her videos would reach millions of people across Africa within a week.
Angel’s YouTube channel was the first African comedy channel to reach one million subscribers. As of 2020, Mark Angel Comedy YouTube Channel has more than 5 million subscribers.
Mark Angel Biography
Comedian Mark Angel was born on 27 May 1991 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He enrolled in Obafemi Awolowo University, formerly known as University of Ife, to study medicine, but left for family reasons.
After college, Mark Angel spent sometime in his country trying to gain experience in cinematography and theater. Unfortunately, the 29-year-old did not find a stable paying job in Nollywood (Nigerian film industry). However, this did not stop him from becoming what he is today. In 2013, he started independent filmmaking under the Mechanic Pictures.

Mark Angel Comedy International is a International Comedy company that started in 2012 in Nigeria. They release funny comedy videos every Friday on YouTube and their social media platforms. They’ve also started Mark Angel TV whereby they release comedy videos every Saturdays.
