Zodwa Wabantu was born on October 30th, 1985. Before resigning and pursuing her career in the entertainment industry, Wabantu used to work for an obligation accumulation organization. She is now best known as “The Vosho Queen” because of her signature dance move.
According to various sources, Zodwa Wabantu used to visit Durban’s Eyadini Lounge where she rocked the crowds with her dance moves. She and her companions also used to visit the Rock Club in Soweto. That’s when people started taking her videos and post on social media.
Wabantu has since appeared in different music videos including Oskido’s ‘Serope’ music video. In 2018, Zodwa appeared in the season premiere of MTV 2 South Africa’s Behind the Story.
Wabantu makes waves for the fact that she performs without wearing an underwear. She was banned from performing in Zimbabwe due to the nature of her performances but this doesn’t stop people from watching Zodwa Wabantu videos online. The Vosho Queen was also deported from Zambia over similar issues less than a year later.
