Afro House Artists Collaborates Through Unique Remix Competition

In the spirit of true collaboration, local artist, Holly,  offered up the raw stems of an unreleased acoustic track for remix. After multiple requests to collaborate from both established and emerging producers, Holly wrote and recorded “Beautiful War” with the absolute intention of making it available for producers to remix. The quality of the remix submissions for this competition were absolutely insane. The volume of submissions as well as the level of productions skills exceeded all expectations.

“From the minute we heard the acoustic version of this sweet melody and the powerful vocals we knew that the track had very high remix potential. The unique time code of the original track presented an interesting challenge and it was great to hear how each producer took this on Ruben Thomas, Lyd Productions and partner in the Remix Competition. The remix pack included the vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and live bass guitar.

Making an unreleased stripped down track available for remix ensured that there was no influence over the direction of the remix and producers had total creative freedom in deciding on the direction and genre of their remix.  It also provided the opportunity for Holly to collaborate with a broader community of producers.
