Amapiano star DJ Mbali Mshove has passed away. She was 27 years old. Her real name was Amahle Nduli. She died suddenly on Monday, July 24, 2023, at a hospital in Johannesburg. According to several sources, Mbali died due to a bad allergic reaction.
Mshove was a rising star in the amapiano scene. She was known for her energetic sets and her catchy songs. She had released several hit singles, including “Konka” and “Injabulo”.

Her death has been met with shock and sadness by her fans and the music industry. Her record label, J Music, released a statement saying that they were “deeply saddened” by her death. They said that she was a “talented and gifted artist” who will be “missed by many”.
“We would like to formally announce Amahle Nduli (DJ MBALI UMSHOVE)’s passing. The family appreciates your prayers and asks for privacy as we grieve the loss of our cherished daughter. Details about her memorial service and funeral will be announced soon,” the statement by the family read.
A family spokesperson told Zimoja that DJ Mbali Umshove died due to a bad allergic reaction. It’s reported that Mbali was going on about her day when she suddenly felt like she was choking and she started getting swollen on the neck. “Some white and brownish fluid started coming out of her mouth and she was struggling to breathe, she was gasping for air,” – the spokesperson said
Mbali was rushed to the hospital but later died while doctors were still running some tests
Mshove’s family has asked for privacy during this difficult time. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Maboneng, Johannesburg.
