Bonang Matheba has built up her brand, making her face the most recognisable one in South Africa.
In an except from her book From A to B: Invest In Your Sparkle, Bonang reveals that for her when she started out it was all about getting famous for her work.
“For the first two years, I didn’t really care about what I wore on Live. When I say I didn’t care what I wore I don’t mean I didn’t apply my mind, it was just I had a different focus and being a style queen wasn’t it,” Bonang explains in her book.

Bonang’s goal was to be the best presenter could ever be “I had grown up watching people like Basetsana Kumalo and Ursula Stapelfeldt cement themselves as TV presenters; I watched their names become synonymous with what good presenting is and I wanted that for myself,” she adds.
“As far as fame was concerned, I wanted to be famous because I was excellent,” Bonang explain further.
Her book book looks into Bonang’s life that she has never made public.
