When we talk about international celebrities we talk about the likes of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, R-Kelly, Trevor Noah, Lady Gaga and many more.
Regardless of the level that celebrities are on, people look up to them. This means that whatever they do is under scrutiny. And as a result, it influences the actions of their “fans”. These ordinary people that have gotten god-like status become responsible for shaping our societies’ key values.

One area that they influence us is marriage. It does not matter that the individual is a sports celebrity, a TV personality or royalty. How they handle their relationships impacts the people which are the supporters. The reason is that they are our heroes. By being exceptional at whatever it is that has made them a star or public figure, they have earned our adoration.
This means that they ultimately carry our dreams and our hopes. So when they get married they are representing the institution of marriage. You will never hear any scandals in the media about them.
A good example for international celebrities is Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Their marriage inspires a lot of people around the world. Therefore when they are getting in and out of marriage willy-nilly it sends a message to the people.
The message is very simple. That the institution of marriage cannot be trusted to work. As a result, there are now a huge number of people that are also giving up on their relationships. Simply because it did not work for Angelina and Brad and they were so perfect together. Staying married requires more than being perfect or the fancy term celebrity marriages.
