“Step Aside is a story about how we relate to our loved ones while still trying to maintain our sense of individuality and how we sometimes get in the way of our own happiness because we feel that others are having a better time than we are. The show is a funny bone kind of story that will resonate with everyone. It will make you laugh and it will touch you deep inside where your most personal feelings lie,” shares Khoza.

The art of storytelling is the reason why Eugene fell in love with stand-up comedy to begin with and this show is his unique point of view about life, relationships and everything in between. The new show is a product of his time spent in a house at the beach looking at the ocean and watching people come and go during the pandemic.

“The lockdowns forced us all to slow down and reflect,” says Eugene. “They gave us time to think about our relationships, our work, our place in the world – and to reassess what was working for us and what wasn’t.”

Step Aside will make you laugh and gasp with recognition. It’s simply a must-see! Tickets from R160 are now available through Ticketpro.
