Gospel singer Khaya Mthethwa joins Metro FM

Gospel artist Khaya Mthethwa is set to co-host The Sacred Space with Thami Ngubeni on Metro FM. Former Idols SA winner and the first black winner Khaya will be broadening his career portfolio and going into radio.

Khaya and Thami made the announcement on DJ Fresh’s Fresh Breakfast Show on Friday.

“This is the very first time that it has been announced on radio that The Sacred Space will include both Thami Ngubeni and Khaya Mthethwa,” Ngubeni announced on the station.

The Gospel singer is excited about the move and told DJ Fresh that he would be as authentic as possible on the show and share truths about his faith and his life.

“My faith, my life, is transparent over my music. I wear my heart on my sleeve; I love to live my life through my music because there is a sense of authenticity in that and people can relate to that,” Mthethwa said.

Following the announcement, Mthethwa took to social media to share a picture of him and Ngubeni with the caption: “So guys, it’s official I’m your new co-host with Thami Ngubeni on Metro FM on The Sacred Space.”
