Gun-man threatened Amanda Black

South African singer-songwriter and recording artist, Amanda Benedicta Antony, popularly known by her stage name Amanda Black, has expressed the ill-treatment which she received at the Mapungubwe Jazz Festival on Saturday night.

The festival took place at the Polokwane Cricket Club last night, where Amanda and her band were scheduled to perform.

However, according to Amanda, her performance could not happen because she and her crew were chased off stage with a gun as she was about to start her set.

“We were literally chased off stage, and this guy followed us to the car and smacked one of my band members and threatened us with a gun for taking a video of him,” Amanda tweeted.

According to Sunday Sun, Amanda claims that the drama was caused by a mix up in timeslots for artists set to perform. She said that her and her band got onto stage at the allocated time but before they could perform, they were told to leave the stage immediately because the organisers wanted to put someone else on stage.
