Sassa Grant Payment Dates For April 2022 have been confirmed by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA). The SASSA Grant Payment Dates For April 2022 help you know when your SASSA Grant will be paid. The SASSA Payments will be made from 4th April 2022, starting with the older person’s grant.

Sassa has explained that Sassa grants will be paid earlier from April 2022. From April, social grants will be paid from the second day of the month.

The changes were announced by the Sassa on Tuesday after hearing beneficiaries’ pleas about payment dates.

“Sassa has heard your cries about the social grant payment dates each month. From April, social grants will be paid from the second day of the month,” said Sassa

“If the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will take place on the following working day. As usual, the older persons and linked grants will be paid first, followed by the disability grant the next day and then the child grant.” – Sassa added

The Sassa Grant Payment Dates For April 2022 are:

  • Older Person’s Grants: 4 April 2022 (this includes any grants linked to these accounts)
  • Disability Grants: 5 April 2022 (this includes any grants linked to these accounts)
  • Foster Care Grants: 6 April 2022
  • Care Dependency Grants: 6 April 2022
  • Child Support Grants: 6 April 2022

The grant amounts that SASSA beneficiaries in South Africa will receive are now as follows:

  • Old age and disability grants – R1 985
  • Persons over the age of 75 and war veterans – R2 005
  • Foster care – R1 070
  • Care dependency – R1 985
  • Child support – R480

R350 SRD Sassa Grant Payment Dates For April 2022

The R350 SASSA Payment Dates For April 2022 haven’t been confirmed yet. These SASSA payment dates are applicable to the post office payout system. SASSA R350 beneficiaries can receive their grants as soon as they receive confirmation of payment from SASSA.

Beneficiaries are urged to wait for an SMS to say that they can collect their R350 grant and should not head out to collect it if they haven’t received an SMS.

SASSA confirmed, “there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.”
