Sassa grant payment dates for January 2023 have been released by SASSA. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) usually distributes social grants during the first week of every month, starting with the grant for elderly people.
Social grants are paid from the second day of the month. If the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will take place on the following working day. As usual, the older persons and linked grants will be paid first, followed by the disability grant the next day and then the child grant.
If you are a SASSA beneficiary or know of someone who is, you may be wondering when the SASSA January grant payments will be made.
Here are Sassa Grant Payment Dates for January 2023:
- Older Person’s Grants will be paid from Tuesday, 03 January 2023. This includes any grants linked to these accounts.
- Disability Grants will be paid from Wednesday, 04 January 2023. This includes any grants linked to these accounts.
- All other grants will be paid from Thursday, 05 January 2023.
There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.
SASSA SRD Payment Dates For January 2023
There is no fixed SASSA payments dates for the SASSA SRD R350 grants. Beneficiaries are urged to wait for an SMS to say that they can collect their R350 grant and should not head out to collect it if they haven’t received an SMS.
Beneficiaries can access it at the till point in any Shoprite, Checkers, Usave and selected OK Foods supermarket nationally.
The SASSA SRD R350 will be paid to beneficiaries from August 2021 until March 2024.
