When will Sassa payments be made for September? Sassa grants are paid from the second day of every month. As the month of September approaches, beneficiaries are asking themselves when will Sassa grants be collected. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has now released their grant payment dates for September 2022.
In April 2022, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) announced that it has changed the dates of social grant payments to ensure its beneficiaries get paid earlier. Now, Sassa grants are paid from the second day of every month. In the past, these grants were provided on the first Wednesday of a month.
It’s a new month September and Sassa beneficiaries will be collecting their Sassa grants for September. Sassa has now announced when Sassa grants will be paid in the month of September.
The below Sassa payments don’t include the Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grants. The SRD grants have no fixed payment dates. SRD R350 beneficiaries can check the status of their SRD grant to see payment dates.
Here’s the September Sassa grant payment schedule:
- Friday, 02 September 2022: Older Persons Grants.
- Monday, 05 September 2022: Disability Grants.
- Tuesday, 06 September 2022: Children’s Grants.
According to Sassa, each month, new Sassa payment dates are released for the permanent social grants. These grants include the Older Persons grant, Disability Grant and the children support grants. Normally, these Sassa grants are distributed on the second day of every new month.
Regarding SRD grants, there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day, you can always withdraw your Sassa grant money later. They can collect the grant at Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, USave and Boxer Stores. Beneficiaries can also use their Sassa gold card at bank ATMs.
