The Department of Social Development has confirmed payment dates for the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) October 2022 grants.
Sassa previously said that there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.

Sassa payments are made on the second day of every month, however, payments are not made on weekends. In this case, the second day in October occurs on a weekend. Meaning the permanent sassa grants will be paid from Monday 3 October 2022 which is the next working day of the month.
