The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the Sassa grant payment schedule for May 2023. SASSA previously announced that social grants would be paid from the second day of the month.
Social grants will be paid from the second day of the month.
“If the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will take place on the following working day. As usual, the older persons and linked grants will be paid first, followed by the disability grant the next day and then the child grant.” – Sassa said
The Sassa Grant Payment Dates for May 2023 will help you know when your grant money will be paid in 2023.
SASSA distributes permanent grants such as the Older Persons grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Child support grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Care grant and the Child Support grant top-up.
SASSA has announced that the May 2023 grant payments will start on Wednesday, 3 May 2023 starting with the distribution of the older person’s grants. The following day SASSA will distribute the disability grants and the children’s support grants later in the week.
These Sassa payments can be received by SASSA beneficiaries from the relevant supermarkets such as Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Boxer and Pick n Pay. For better convenience to receive your grant money, SASSA grant payments can be made directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
