The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released all the Sassa Payment Dates for 2023. SASSA previously announced that social grants would be paid from the second day of the month, from April 2022 onwards.
From April 2022, social grants will be paid from the second day of the month.
“If the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will take place on the following working day. As usual, the older persons and linked grants will be paid first, followed by the disability grant the next day and then the child grant.” – Sassa said
The Sassa Payment Dates for 2023 will help you know when your grant money will be paid in 2023.
Sassa grants are paid from the second day of every month.

Below is a list of the SASSA payment schedule for the months of January, February and March 2023:
January 2023:
- Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Tuesday, 3 January 2023
- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 4 January 2023
- All other Grants: Thursday, 5 January 2023
February 2023:
- Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Thursday, 2 February 2023
- Disability Grant: Friday, 3 February 2023
- All other Grants: Monday, 6 February 2023
March 2023:
- Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Thursday, 2 March 2023
- Disability Grant: Friday, 3 March 2023
- All other Grants: Monday, 6 March 2023
Sassa Payments
You will receive R450 a month for each child. The foster child support is R 1 070 per month per child. People from ages 60 to 75 years old will receive R1 990 per month, whilst those older than 75 will receive R2 010 per month.
