How to Update SRD R350 Grant Reapplication Information?

Applicants who’s SRD R350 Grant application was declined based on incorrect names and surname information provided, can now update their personal information for the COVID-19 SRD R350 Grant online. SASSA has urged all applicants applying for the SRD R350 grant to update their personal information if incorrect names and surname information were initially provided. This could happen on the SRD website or if existing applicants updated their responses to the screening questionnaire in their SASSA application. Sassa also advised that applicants can do this with effect from Friday, 1 July 2022, on the SASSA website at srd.sassa.gov.za. Sassa R350 grant applicants should correct their details by no later than 7 July 2022, if they wish to update their screening questions for the evaluation of the April and May 2022 periods.

Clients who wish to update their screening questions for the assessment of the April and May 2022 Periods, should update their details by no later than 07 July 2022.

How to Complete SASSA Reapplication?

  1. Go to the SASSA SRD Website at srd.sassa.gov.za
  2. Scroll down to ‘Reconfirm your grant application’
  3. Click the yellow bar written ‘click here to reconfirm your existing application
  4. Enter your South African ID Number
  5. Enter your Mobile Number
  6. Click ‘send SMS
  7. You will receive a One-Time Pin (OTP) via SMS
  8. Enter your PIN
  9. Click on ‘verify PIN’
  10. Update Details
  11. Then follow all of the necessary steps to resubmit your SRD R350 grant application

What Is The Deadline For New SRD R350 Grant Appeals?

If your application was declined for any period from April 2022, you may submit an appeal by accessing the DSD appeals website. If you have applied to SASSA for the Covid-19 SRD on their electronic platform and got rejected, you may, within a period of 30 days but not exceeding 90 days deadline, appeal SASSA’s decision to the Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals (ITSAA). The Independent Tribunal will inform you of the outcome of your appeal electronically, within a period of 60 – 90 days from lodging of the appeal. Remember the COVID-19 SRD R350 Grant has an 90-day appeals process deadline.

Please note that the Covid-19 SRD R350 Grant was meant to come to an end in March 2022, however, President Cyril Ramaphosa extended the grant further by another year until March 2023.
