SASSA has recently released a payment schedule for the month of January, and are as follows:
- Older Person’s Grants will be paid from Tuesday, 3 January 2023 ( Including all other grants that are linked to older person’s grants)
- Disability Grants will be paid from Wednesday, 4 January 2023 including any grant linked to these accounts
- All other grants will be paid from Thursday, 5 January 2023
Only qualifying beneficiaries will receive the Sassa payments every month.
There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.
The grant amounts that SASSA beneficiaries in South Africa will receive are now as follows:
- Old age and disability grants – R1 990
- Persons over the age of 75 and war veterans – R2 010
- Foster care – R1 070
- Care dependency – R1 990
- Child support – R480
