- Step 4: Click “Submit” to check your Sassa status
- Step 5: Your Sassa Status will be displayed
If your SRD R350 grant application was declined for any period and you had zero income in the preceding month, you may submit an application for reconsideration.
What Does Sassa Status Pending Mean?
Pending means your application has not yet been approved, your details still need to be screened and verified first. Once approved, you will receive an SMS from SASSA requesting your banking details, then you will be paid.
How to Apply for SASSA Reconsideration
In order to reapply for Sassa R350 grant online, you should follow the below srd.sassa.gov.za application steps:
- Step 1: Go to www.srd.sassa.gov.za
- Step 2: Scroll down and click on ‘click here to apply online’
- Step 3: Enter your Mobile Number
- Step 4: Click ‘send SMS’
- Step 5: You’ll receive a One Time Pin (OTP)
- Step 6: Enter the OTP
- Step 7: Continue to complete the SASSA R350 application by filling in the required information.
- Step 8: Click ‘Submit’ to send your application to SASSA
- Step 9: You’ll receive an SMS showing your application has been successfully submitted.
How to Apply for Sassa R350 SRD Grant
If you want to submit Sassa SRD R350 application, follow the below steps:
- Step 1: Go to srd.sassa.gov.za to apply
- Step 2: Scroll down to the ‘How do I apply for this SRD Grant’ section
- Step 3: Click on the yellow bar which says ‘click here to apply online’
- Step 4: Enter your mobile number
- Step 5: Click “Send SMS”
- Step 6: Then enter the one time pin (OTP) you received to your number from Sassa
- Step 7: Continue with the Sassa SRD R350 grant application process by completing all the steps required by Sassa

- Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Tuesday, 4 July 2023.
- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 5 July 2023.
