The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced the Sassa payment dates for January 2023 for permanent social grants. Here are the Sassa Grants: Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant and Children’s Grant. According to Sassa’s payment schedule, payment dates for January 2023, Older person grants will be paid first (Tuesday, 03 January) followed by disability grants (Wednesday, 04 January) and child support grants (Thursday, 05 January).

According to the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa), about 31% of the South African population relies on social grants, and additionally, there are approximately 10 million beneficiaries who depend on the monthly R350 special Covid-19 social relief grant.

During the first week of each month, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) distributes permanent grants to eligible applicants. There are several grants available, including the Disability, Older Persons’, Care Dependency, and Child Support grants.

SASSA Payment Dates for January 2023

Sassa has confirmed that the grant payment dates for January 2023 are as follows:
  • Older Person’s Grants: 03 January 2023.
  • Disability Grants: 04 January 2023.
  • All Other Grants: 05 January 2023.

According to Sassa, each month, new Sassa payment dates are released for the permanent social grants. These grants include the Older Persons grant, Disability Grant and the children support grants. Normally, these Sassa grants are distributed on the second day of every new month.
