How to Check SRD Status Online?

After you’ve submitted your Sassa SRD application, you may wish to check your Sassa SRD status. However, first, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) needs to verify your application through the Sassa verification and validation process. For banking details, the applicant’s details go to the Department of Treasury; to the specific bank chosen by the applicant and when it is verified it then goes back to Treasury and lastly handed over to SASSA for payment purposes.

Your personal information such as your Name, Surname and ID Number will also be verified. Sassa will send your information to the Department of Home Affairs for verification.

Also, your ID number will be matched with SARS, UIF and NSFAS databases. Once the verification is done then your application will be approved or declined with reason.
