North Wharf is a vibrant neighbourhood known for its hustle and bustle of Long Street, chic and funky hotels, lively bars and restaurants, cool corporate offices, and colleges. The area prides itself on its edgy population of young corporates, funky students, and international tourists.
The store design complements the neighbourhood vibe, featuring unique designer touches of natural wood and brushed steel, a range of comfortable and casual seating, great WIFI, and the full complement of Starbucks beverages and snacks. It is managed by Sanelisiwe Portia Luthuli, who came from Kwamakhutha near Durban and now lives in Parrow. Portia’s favourite Starbucks beverage is “The Caramel Macchiato because it’s already sweet, with no need for sugar, and I have a very sweet tooth.”
“We’re thrilled to open our doors in North Wharf and bring the unique Starbucks South Africa experience to this vibrant neighbourhood,” said Portia. “We welcome everyone to come and enjoy our coffee, food, and exceptional service.”
Starbucks is committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for its customers. The new store will offer a unique experience for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts, with a range of signature Starbucks beverages and snacks. The new Starbucks store is an excellent addition to the North Wharf community, and Starbucks is looking forward to welcoming everyone.
The new store features the full range of Starbucks hot and cold beverages and a wide selection of delicious breakfast, lunch and in-between meals and treats. Excellent service proudly complements the brand’s wide range of premium coffees from the store’s partners. “Everyone in the new store is keen to share their knowledge about the coffee blends and roasts,” says Portia. A particular source of pride for all Starbucks partners is that Starbucks coffee is 99% ethically sourced and accredited by Conservation International under the C.A.F.E. Practices programme.
