Bongile Mantsai joins Scandal

SAFTA Winner Bongile Mantsai is the new Villain in Town

The 2018 SAFTA winner Bongile Mantsai who is best known for his starring role in the acclaimed South African screenplay, Inxeba is the new addition to the Scandal! family.

Mantsai who has also appeared in several productions including Nkululeko, Sew the Winter to my Skin and Cold Harbour, will TX on the 11th of June as Mthunzi Mayisa a 33 year old Villain who is driven by revenge but comes across as extremely innocent and pleasant.

He is charismatic and utterly charming. However he carries himself like a successful business man. He’s ambitious, calculative and can be ruthless. He’s a chameleon who easily plays different roles to different people to get what he wants. Mthunzi is the son of Dambisa Maduna, who is a domestic worker for the Langa family.

Scandal! actress Marjorie Langa robbed at gun-point

Marjorie Langa, who is best known for her role as Gloria in e.tv’s popular soapie Scandal! was robbed at a gun-point at her home in Windsor West, Randburg.

Marjorie told TshisaLIVE she was at home watching a match between Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows when a group of men approached her house and asked the helper if she was selling drugs. When they were turned away, her son and relative went to close the main gate. That was when the men ran into the house, while another held Marjorie’s sister-in-law at gunpoint.

Hearing the uproar, Marjorie snatched her son and other relatives, and locked themselves in the bathroom.

Scandal! actor Sandy Mokwena aka Bra Eddie passes away

Sandy Mokwena’s tombstone cost around R100k

According to reports from TshisaLIVE, a tombstone to represent Scandal! actor Sandy Mokwena’s contribution to the community was unveiled shortly after his death late last month, with its creators claiming it cost around R100,000

A large granite slab rises from the ground to meet a oval tombstone with the actor’s face on it. The granite slab bears two massive initials and the oval stone is surrounded by three pillars holding up a banner bearing his surname. A Sotho clan praise poem is also engraved on the stone.
