Thank you for 18 years of pure joy – DJ Tira to his wife Gugu Khathi

Mthokozi Khathi known by his stage name DJ Tira is without a doubt one of the most successful and popular South African DJs. Tira already has his own record label called Afrotainment.

Besides music, Tira is also a family man. The Gqom and House music powerhouse recently took to social media expressing his gratitude towards his wife Gugu Khathi who has helped him become the husband, father and family man that he is today.

Taking to Instagram, Tira shared a heartfelt message to his wife Gugu on her birthday.

“My life partner. Thank you for 18 years of pure joy. You have made this life thing so interesting, easy. The beautiful memories we have created forever play in my head. Thank you for helping me build a home with 3 beautiful children (sic),” – DJ Tira wrote.

Tira went on to describe that his wife Gugu is still the same person he met 18 years ago.

Mafikizolo defends Gugu Khathi against ‘bad attitude’ hate

Mafikizolo defends Gugu Khathi

Mafikizo has come to Gugu Khathi’s defence after she received so much hate on social media for seemingly having a “bad attitude” at the SAMA24. 

During the 24th South African Music Awards ceremony, a video clip of DJ Tira’s wife Gugu giving hosts, Somizi Mhlongo, Mpho Popps and Dineo Ranaka a thumbs down for a joke they made about Mabala Noise went viral.

While some fans loved her reactions at the SAMAs, some social media users were not pleased with her reactions, saying she has a ‘bad attitude’.

Shortly after Gugu trended on social media for the wrong reasons, Mafikizolo’s Nhlanhla Nciza and Theo Kgosinkwe defended her in a video on Twitter.
