Local hip-hop rapper HHP – Hip Hop Pantsula, whose real name is Jabulani Tsambo has passed away at the age of 38. The cause of his death is still unknown at the moment.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, his wife Lerato Sengadi confirmed his passing, saying: “Yes, yes it’s true. I am with the family at the moment,” said Sengadi.

HHP, who is also better known by his nickname Jabba opened up about his battle with depression during the Fresh breakfast show on Metro FM just a few weeks ago.

The Motswako MC who frequently performed in several languages, though mostly in Setswana, was best known for his hits such as Music & Lights, Tswaka, Bosso, Jabulani, and Harambe.

Condolences have started pouring in from his peers and fans including, JR, Boity, AKA and Da L.E.S.

“Just heard the most terrible news … another icon gone too soon.” – AKA tweeted.
