Episode 35

Nganono stands with Zakithi before the board. Zithu is asked to give his credit card to Bangizwe. Shria stands with Mira against Nirupa.

Episode 36

Zakithi confronts Logan, accusing him of calling the board meeting. He denies it, but admits he felt the board should have acted against her.

Zakithi plays her secret green-co hand. In the aftermath, Logan admits he judged Zakhiti unfairly. Zakithi finds out about Zithulele’s credit card fraud. Phakade encourages MaNdlovu to make things right with Zakhiti.

Nirupa shocks Mira when she invites Adam around for another dinner.

Episode 37

Zakithi can’t bring herself to fire Zithulele, and passes the buck to Shria to deal with him as she sees fit. Zakithi refuses to sign Maluju’s redistribution contract until she’s made some drastic cuts to it, much to Shria’s horror.

It becomes clear that a deep seated issue lies between Zakhiti and MaZulu, but MaZulu seems unprepared to discuss it, much to Zakithi’s outrage.

The dinner with Adam and the Rampersads goes well and Nirupa becomes open to the idea of seeing what the future holds for him and Mira. Zithulele keeps ducking and diving and Bangizwe and is elated when a top singer signs up to perform at his gig.

Episode 12

With the tension mounting between Ngcolosi and Phakade, MaNdlovu deems it fit to intervene and settle the stand-off between her two sons once and for all – she tries to persuade Ngcolosi to give ten percent of his equity stake in Maluju oil to his brother.

Zane isn’t ready to accept his loss, he goes ahead with taking a meeting with the green energy representative and misses his son’s much anticipated prize-giving ceremony.

MaNdlovu and Mazulu’s problems are compounded when Zithulele tells them the Sangoma has been lurking around the office. Buhle tells Mnyamane that Phakade cannot be a judge for the Oswenka competition.

Episode 13

MaNdlovu realises that Zithulele’s curiosity could become problematic for them. Ngcolosi shocks Pranav when he informs him that he wants them to depose Zane from the company, as both COO and shareholder.

MaNdlovu and MaZulu go back and forth about how to proceed regarding MaCingwane and MaNdlovu decides it must be something drastic. Mandlovu stuns MaZulu when she tells her they must burn down MaCingwane’s house. It tears at Namadonsela’s heart to see Futhi dressed up as a boy.

Zithulele is roped in as one of the judges. Phakade arrives at the hall in time to see Futhi perform. Futhi sees her father arrive and nearly loses her nerve. Mnyamane watches Futhi’s routine and is impressed.

Monday 16 April 2018
Episode 1

1993: we meet a young Ngcolosi as he convinces his brother Phakade to sell his cattle so that he may invest in an oil company. In Umlazi, a young MaZulu reveals to MaNdlovu that Ngcolosi is sterile. They resolve to keep this a secret from him, instead convincing Phakade to perform a traditional rite, fathering children on Ngcolosi’s behalf.

Present day: we establish the Bhengu family, now hugely successful, with four children. Zakhiti, Nganono, Zithulele and Buhle. Ngcolosi loves them all, but there is tension with Zithulele. Adding to this, a Sangoma arrives unannounced at the house with a message for Buhle that threatens to expose the lie this family was built on.

Episode 2

MaNdlovu and MaZulu try to track down Macingwane, but Ngcolosi beats them to the punch by enlisting the help of his trusted old friend, Phunyuka. Ngcolosi finally hears Macingwane’s message but MaNdlovu and MaZulu manage to persuade him that the man is wrong and has ulterior motives.

In the midst of marital meltdown, Zane trashes his office ahead of an important interview, disturbing Pranav. Futhi is unimpressed by the local Oswenka champion’s performance. She doesn’t want to reveal that she has feelings for him. Futhi decides she would like to try Oswenka.
