This past Saturday, 9 December 2017, Leading Lady Terry Pheto bagged the FILM award at the 6th annual Mbokodo Awards created by Carol Bouwer Productions.
The Mbokodo Awards honour South African women who have made an exceptional contribution to the arts in South Africa. Quoting Gerard C Eakedale, Terry Pheto expresses: “Recognition is the greatest motivator.”
Carol Bouwer took to social media to share: “Asked to describe you in the adjudication sessions words such as young and so focused, driven, talented, gifted, magical on screen, beautiful, inspiring, humble and pure of heart were amongst the expressions used. Terry you make it possible for young girls to dream, thank you for serving South Africa in such an elegant manner! Pure magic.”
Terry Pheto’s Mbokodo “Film” Award win comes off the back of winning BIG at London awards this year.
