Fans and lovers of this massive music genre must be prepared for their souls to be fed with uplifting music and a hive of gospel activities at the upcoming SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards. This year, this popular production will be celebrating 10 Years of its existence, and not just its existence alone – but a decade of transforming the industry to be one that still puts the gospel first in all its crafts. “We celebrate the fact that over the years since the inception of the Crowns, we have lived up to our vision and mammoth task of recognizing and rewarding the well deserving individuals within the sector of Gospel Music and we are proud to be the brand that is behind building most of the decorated artists and stakeholders of the industry who are revered by millions of fans in South Arica and beyond”, says Zanele la Mbokazi Nkambule.
The Crown Awards are what they are today, the biggest platform ever, because of the public and gospel community that continue to support this initiative day in and out – with this in mind, for the first time ever since 2008 we are giving the public an opportunity to nominate the Gospel Artist of the Decade and Gospel Song of the Decade. Who is that one artist that gives you the shivers and moves you to a higher place when you hear him or her sing? That one artist who has been consistent over the past 9 years? Is there a song that still moves you in your happiest or troubling times?
If you have a song or artist in mind, then that song or artists should be submitted as a nominee for the Crown Awards 10th Year celebratory categories! (The Decade Categorie!!)
Look back over the years, remember the cheers of excitement when one hears the sounds of a particular song that lead us to sing along, that one song that never missed.
The music lists of almost all radio stations. Those artists that left us wanting for more of their reviving songs of praise and worship as they take off the stage. The songs and artists that have kept us to our feet for the past years.

The 10th SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards will be held on the 25th& 26th of November 2017 at the Iconic Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Center (Durban ICC) in beautiful and warm City Durban.
