WATCH | Natasha Joubert Crowned Miss South Africa 2023

Natasha Joubert from Pretoria was crowned Miss South Africa 2023 on Sunday night, 13 August 2023, at a glittering pageant finale which was held at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria.

As the new Miss South Africa, Natasha Joubert will receive a package of prizes and sponsorships valued at more than R3 million when she takes the crown.

Joubert began her pageantry career in 2016 when she competed in Miss Globe South Africa 2016. She won the title and went on to place in the Top 5 at Miss Globe 2016.

Having previously competed in the pageant, this is not the beauty’s inaugural appearance. In 2020, she narrowly missed the crown, with Shudufadzo Musida securing the victory. Nevertheless, she achieved an impressive top 3 placement. While fellow titleholders represented the nation in distinct pageants, she was selected to carry the country’s banner at the subsequent Miss Universe 2021, earning the opportunity to shine on the international stage.

The Miss SA 2023 panel of judges included the reigning Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel, Leandie du Randt, Devi Sankaree Govender, Jo-Ann Strauss, and Thuso Mbedu, an actor and the brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris.
