The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) officially opened its 2023 application window on 28 September 2022. The application period will close on 31 January 2023. There’s still some time left for you to submit your NSFAS application for 2023. NSFAS will not accept late applications 2023.

How Do I Apply for NSFAS 2023?
NSFAS 2023 Applications are now open.
Here’s how to apply:
- Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab.
- Step 2: Create a myNSFAS account.
- Step 3: Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and complete the sections on the screen.
- Step 4: Upload required supporting documents where applicable.
- Step 5: Click on ‘Submit’
How to Check NSFAS Application Status
Follow the below easy steps to check your NSFAS status:
- Step 1: Log into the NSFAS online application website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Step 2: Click on ‘myNsfas’
- Step 3: Enter your username and password
- Step 4: Click ‘Login’
- Step 5: Then click on ‘Track Funding Progress’
- Step 6: Check NSFAS application status
How to Reset NSFAS Login Password
You can easily reset your Nsfas account login password by following the below easy steps:
- Step 1: www.nsfas.org.za and click on ‘MyNSFAS’ tab
- Step 2: Click on the ‘Forgot your password’ tab and enter your ID number and then click ‘Submit’
- Step 3: You will receive an OTP via email and SMS
- Step 4: Type in the OTP you received and click ‘Submit’
- Step 5: You will then be required to create a new password
Please note that your cellphone number and email address are required in order for NSFAS to communicate with you. Make sure that your contact details are always current and correct.
