The Wild star Hayley Owen joins Generations: The Legacy

Local actress, Hayley Owen, will join the cast of Generations The Legacy.

Known to most viewers as the lovable Angie from The Wild, or the sexy and feisty Talullah from High Rollers, Hayley will now portray a completely different character, Elsa Van Wyk.

Elsa is a prim and proper mother from the suburbs who embarks on a mission to reconnect with her childhood nanny, Florence, played by Ivy Nkutha. This reunion sparks contrasting reactions from Shebeen Queen, Lucy, and the rest of the Diale family.

Elsa’s character also forces Lucy and Florence to confront difficult memories from their past.

Hayley Owen also expressed her feelings on social media.

About her new role Hayley says: “In High Rollers I played a manipulative dancer and, although I am still in killer heels, Elsa is a much softer character. I have been so impressed with the talent and professionalism of the Generations production. It is an honour to be on a show with such a large and loyal following. I hope South Africans will welcome Elsa into their homes.”

Catch Hayley Owen on Generations The Legacy, on SABC1 Monday to Friday at 20:00. Her character debuts on Monday, 21 August.
