XXC LEGACY inspires tenacity and story of independence in visuals for When You Know

Trailblazing South African hip-hop talent XXC Legacy has released highly awaited music video tittle When You Know featuring Djenga (Locnville) in partnership with national sportswear XT- Cross Trainer and Paradise Sound System.

When You know produced by Re-Decay is inspired by her new partnership with local athleisure brand, in which she explores her journey as a young black woman working to make it in the local music industry, overcoming many obstacles. With a verse featuring Djenga, famous for his work with local duo Locnville, the song speaks about culture, independence, and shares an inspiring message about the importance of taking risks.

Following the success of her debut EP, End Of Days the team at Paradise Sound System saw an opportunity to further amplify the narrative and secured athleisure collaboration for their talent. For which XXC Legacy created a line inspired by her tenacity and story of independence.

“This is about me and my girls celebrating that I got the bag, it means how I got the paper, the money, the success. It represents independent success, celebrating us doing well in life on our own,” expresses XXC LEGACY.

A creative, a lyricist, a performer, a visionary. These are some of the titles that can be attributed to National School of the Arts graduate Courtney Mthethwa aka XXC Legacy. 22-year-old hailing from Jozi is one independent to watch and Berlin-based label Paradise Sound System is behind her all the way.

When You Know music video will start airing on Trace Africa from next week (All Hip-Hop Show). Make sure to look out for When You Know visuals on your favourite music TV channels.
