Rhythm City actor Jamie Bartlett, better known as David Genaro on the e.tv soapie is leaving the show. According to ZAlebs, Jamie Bartlett has resigned from Rhythm City and will serve his notice until the 5th February 2020.

Jamie, who is one of the highest paid actors in South Africa, started with the soapie thirteen years ago. The 54-year-old actor portrayed his role as the wicked puppet master.
One of the actors who wished to remain anonymous, told Sunday Sun that: “When you say action, he immediately switches from being sweet Jamie to being the mischievous David and I’ll miss him for that.”
Another colleague said: “He’s been there since Rhythm City started and really captivated his audience. He’s irreplaceable and we’ll truly miss him.”
According to ZAlebs, the Rhythm City team is set to host an exclusive celebration, in honour of the work and impact that Jamie has contributed to the show.
