Amanda Black, who achieved recognition in 2016 following the release of her hit single “Amazulu”, which was nominated for several music awards, parted ways with Ambitiouz Entertainment last year and allegedly pursued legal action against the label for breach of exclusive management.
Amanda also dropped a new single titled “Thanda Ndim” on Friday. The new Amanda Black song ‘Thandwa Ndim’ sees her addressing social ills such as women abuse.
โI want “Thandwa Ndim” to bring strength and courage to women who feel that they are trapped in toxic situations,โ says Amanda.
โI want these women to understand that they are not alone and that they are truly loved.โ
Amanda also speaks about the significance of โself-loveโ following recent challenges in her own life.
โโThandwa Ndim” means you will be loved by me but it also means I will be loved by me. Amazingly, the songโs relevance to my own situation only became clear to me after people close to me heard it and pointed out that it could also be an expression of love for myself โ the self-love that I really needed following challenges I experienced in life โ the self-love I came to recognise within me as a strength to take myself seriously and forge ahead when times were tough,” adds Amanda.
