Amapiano Artists Mpura, Killer Kau and Khanya Hadebe have passed away after a fatal car accident. According to Sunday World, the three musicians died on their way to a gig to Rustenburg. Specific details about the deaths remain unclear at this stage.

The news of their passing was also confirmed by Entertainment Commentator Kgopolo Phil Mphela on Twitter.

It is also believed that Kabza De Small was with the deceased on the night before they passed away. This led fans to speculate if Kabza De Small has passed away as well, however, Kabza took to Twitter and confirmed that he was alive and ok.

South African rapper Riky Rick took to his Instagram page to bid farewell to Mpura, saying: “Rest In Peace our Mpura. You were the happiest person in every room, your spirit was what we needed in our lives, selfless, humble and loving. Love you so much my brother. Thank you for everything you did while you were still here. Gonna miss you so much bro. I’m sorry your journey had to end like this. Condolences to the family and the friends, we loved you so much bro. Lala Kahle.”

Killer Kau, real name Sakhile Hlatshwayo, rose to fame when he was “discovered” on Twitter. He was best known for his hit song ‘Tholukuthi Hey featuring Mbali’.
