American R&B singer Joe Thomas headlines Macufe

American R&B singer Joe Thomas is the latest addition to The Mangaung African Cultural Festival (Macufe) line-up. Joseph Lewis “Joe” Thomas is an American singer, songwriter and record producer.

The R&B singer, who has a big following in South Africa, will take the Indoor Jazz Stage on the 11th of October 2018, alongside local jazz great Selaelo Selota. Nigerian-born, South African based guitarist Kunle Ayo will also perform. PDA Band and Xolisile Nosenga complete the line up.

The seven-time Grammy Award nominee and has been nominated for numerous other awards and accolades, including a BET Award, a NAACP Image Award, and four Soul Train Music Awards.

The likes of Brandy Norwood, Oliver Mtukudzi, Amanda Black, Zonke, Nathi, Vusi Nova, Busiswa, Lady Zamar, DJ Maphorisa, Prince Kaybee, Presss and many more will thrill guests at the Main Event 13th October 2018.

The Hip Hop concert on the 5th October 2018 will see big South African rappers such as Emtee, Sjava, Nadia Nakia, Nasty C, A Reece, Frog, Mokash, Thembile Thembile, Castino, Thwenny and many more take the centre stage.

“We have spent months curating what’s on offer at Macufe. We obsess with quality and seek out just what South Africans love and enjoy and you’d agree that this line up over the five days is premium entertainment, not only from the Free State and the country, but the continent and the world. We look forward to seeing revellers from all over the world descend on Mangaung for yet another memorable Macufe,” Festival director Mario Sefo said.
