Tumi, the former front man for “Tumi and the Volume”, will present his critically acclaimed new album, “The Return Of The King” that includes the hit single “Visa” featuring Busiswa, on the ANALOGUE NITES stage with live instrumentation.
This notable MC and poet has played a significant role in the shaping of the South African hip hop culture as we know it today. Tumi has long stood out from his peers with incisive lyricism and an exiting brand of musical peculiarity typified by his work with decade long collaborators Tumi and the Volume. When asked about the meaning behind his album title, “The Return Of The King”, Tumi expresses: “I named it that because I am a leader in my genre and I have spent over 15 years pursuing great. My name is Tumi and I am a King.”
Also performing on the ANALOGUE NITES stage is WTF (i.e. Witness the Funk). This exciting “Gqom TRAP” hip hop trio hails from Durban and consists of producer Aux Cable, and rappers; Efelow and Moshine Magnif. They are currently working on their debut album titled ‘Finding Nomusa’ that includes already popular hits: Wangnika, Nomusa (Ratchet Trap) & Nothing On You.
