No stranger to the South African music industry, she began writing songs and playing guitar at the young age of 14. After finishing school then living in the USA for a year she returned to South Africa and joined the band Concussion Girl most noted for the saucy single “Tie me up” that received high rotation on 5fm and was featured on the worldwide release movie “Slash”.

After two studio albums with the band and building a notable, on stage reputation, playing everything from festivals like Oppikoppi and Woodstock to opening at the Big Top Arena for Mango Groove and everything in between, Beverly Jayne released her debut solo album “Walk Away”.

With tracks from Beverly Jayne’s debut album “Walk Away” receiving airplay on 33 stations across South Africa including 947, YFM, OFM, featured multiple times on SA TV in shows like Isidingo and Sober Companion, and receiving growing airplay in countries like USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, UK, Netherlands and Italy, it was inevitable that a second solo album was to follow.

Beverly comments on the inspiration behind the album “At the risk of sounding totally cheesy, this album really is close to my heart both in sentiment and musicality. I started recording it at a pretty dark time in my life and kind of worked my way to happiness during the course of recording the album. The journey has been quite amazing really!”

To celebrate the release of the album Beverly Jayne will be launching it on the 26th October at Rumours Rock City in Johannesburg. The wonderful Alexander May and new comers UP will be supporting her on the evening.

“I’m so looking forward to this event as I get to share these beautiful songs with an audience for the first time backed by a band of solid, pro musos. We really have an amazing show lined up for the night that will capture the honest emotions of the album as well as rock out a little as one always must!” adds Beverly.
