- STEP 1: Go to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status
- STEP 2: Enter ID number and your cellphone number
- STEP 3: Then click “Submit” to check your Sassa SRD status
- STEP 4: You will be able to see the status of your SRD status
About Sassa SRD Payments
President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa declared a National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this regard the South African government introduced a Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) of R350 to be paid to individuals who are currently unemployed, do not receive any form of income, social grant or UIF payment etc.
The SRD Grant is administered in terms of section 32 of the Social Assistance Act, 2004 (Act No. 13 of 2004) and is implemented with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance.
