How to Download Showmax App
Downloading is not possible on laptops, computers or other streaming devices. Once downloaded, watch your downloads offline – no data needed. Go to showmax.com to sign up. Download the Showmax app on your smartphone or tablet for either iOS or Android.
- Go to Google Play or App Store
- Search for ‘Showmax App’
- Click ‘Install’ to download the Showmax App
- Once downloaded, launch the app
- Login and start streaming
How to Download on Showmax
Only active members can download on Showmax South Africa. Content is available for viewing on your device up to 30 days from the day the content was successfully downloaded. Once you press play, you have up to 48 hours to view the content. Follow the below steps to download on Showmax App.
- Open your Showmax App.
- Sign In.
- Search for the movies or series you want to watch offline.
- Click on the ‘Download’ button. On the smartphone app, it’s usually an icon of a cloud with an arrow pointing downwards.
- Downloads should start immediately.
- Watch offline once the download is complete.
There are limits to the amount of times you can download the same movie or series episode. This varies depending on the studio. However, there is a limit of 25 complete downloads per account, across all your devices.
Depending on the quality you choose, a 30-minute show will use between 80MB to 500MB. A movie will use around 500MB of data. On mobile devices, the Low Quality setting is perfect for the smaller screen size.
