Rapper Cassper Nyovest took to Twitter to reflect on a time when he was broke and depressed. His message was to encourage fans not to give up on their dreams.

“I was broke as hell and depressed 5 years ago. My debut album dropped just 5 years go. Today I am seen as an inspiration to all my kinds of people. Black, white, young and old. I appreciate my life so much. Crazy what God can do in your life in just 5 years. Please don’t give up (sic),” he tweeted.
Cassper has released four albums and managed to take his #FillUp concert to four different stadiums. In 2018, his Sweet and Short album went platinum in just one day.
