ATTENTION all filmmakers! There is now only ONE WEEK left until you have to submit your entries for the 2018 Sundance TV Short Film competition. The last day for submissions is Sunday, April 15 and must be made at www.sundancetv.co.za/shorts.

Films should not be longer than 15 minutes, must be delivered with English subtitles (if English is not the language spoken in the film) and the producer or director of the film must be a South African resident.

Entries will be judged on a number of criteria, including creativity, entertainment value, original storytelling and production values.

The winning film will be announced in May and will go on to premiere at an event during the Sundance Film Festival in London, which takes place May 31 to June 3. It will also be broadcast on SundanceTV (DStv channel 108) later in the year.

The jury is presided by Mike Plante of Sundance Institute and includes Harold Gronenthal (SundanceTV Global), Aletta Alberts (MultiChoice) and Helen Kuun (Indigenous Film).

SundanceTV’s official rules and technical requirements can be found at www.sundancetv.co.za/shorts.

Good luck to all entrants!
