Kagiso Lediga is dragged in public over his looks

South African stand-up comedian, actor and director Kagiso Lediga is not bothered by women who call him ugly in public.

Speaking on Fresh Breakfast show on Metro FM, Kagiso said he felt comfortable with the way he looked even when some people called him ugly. You can listen to the interview here:

“I have been called ugly a lot by women in public. People would say; ‘that ugly one,” he said. Kagiso further added that he developed a thick skin and the hate did not bother him.

“It’s not a big deal. I don’t have a problem with it. People are surprised how good I look when I arrive in a suit. It doesn’t hurt. It only stings a little when they knock my work.”

Kagiso’s directorial debut, Catching Feelings, opens in local box offices on March 9 and the the film’s producer Tamsin Anderson told news publications that he was excited to see the response from fans.

Catching feelings is a dark romantic comedy which follows an urbane young academic and his beautiful wife, as their lives get turned upside down when a celebrated and hedonistic older writer moves into their Johannesburg home with them.

“Kagiso Lediga is excited about the film. He had experience directing on Late Nite News and also Bantu Hour but this is his first feature film and he is very excited.”
