Matric Results 2021: How To Get Your Matric Results 2021

The 2021 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination results will be released in January next year. Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga is expected to announced the matric results 2021 on 20 January 2022, while provinces will then release the results the next day on 21 January 2022.

To obtain a NSC one must achieve 40% in three subjects, one of which is an official language at Home Language level and 30% in three subjects.

How to get Your Matric Results 2021 – Ways to Check Your 2021 Matric Result

  • Matriculants can get their official statement of 2021 matric results from the school.
  • Go to the exam centre where you wrote their matric exams.
  • In January, names of successful candidates will be published in newspapers. You’ll need to know your exam number, which will be used instead of your name.
  • Send your ID number and exam number via SMS to 35658. Both numbers must have 13 digits to be accepted and there is a once-off cost of R3.00 to register. Once registration is completed, results will be delivered by SMS when they are released.
  • Use the USSD service by dialling *120*35658#. After answering multiple questions, enter your ID number. You’ll receive your results per subject after you’ve completed the process. You’ll have the option to opt in or out to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act. USSD rates apply.
  • You can also obtain your matric results 2021 online through the DBE‘s website

  • Step 1: Visit the website of the Department of Education matric results page
  • Step 2: Enter your examination number
  • Step 3: More personal details may be required
  • Step 4: Click “Search”
  • Step 5: Your matric results 2021 will appear
  • Step 6: Click the download button and print

IEB Results – How to Get Your Matric Results 2021

Independent Examinations Board (IEB) pupils will see their results go public on 19 January 2022. The IEB sets and marks the final exams for most of the country’s private and independent schools.

IEB results can be obtained in the following ways:

  • You can obtain your official certificate of results from your school as of 19 January.
  • Results can also be accessed via SMS.
  • Pupils will be able to find their results online using the IEB website when they are released
